Important: These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Campus Culture. By accessing our website, joining the waitlist, or using any current or future Campus Culture products (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1) Who Can Use Campus Culture (Eligibility)

You must be currently enrolled in a university or equivalent tertiary institution, and at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher).

You represent that the information you provide (including your student status and email verification) is accurate and up to date.

We may decline, suspend, or terminate access at our sole discretion, including where eligibility is not met or cannot be verified.
2) Accounts, Verification & Security

Some features may require an account and verification through a university email or other methods.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any suspected breach.
3) Waitlist & Pre-Release Programs

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access or any particular launch timeline.

We may send you service, product, and marketing communications related to the waitlist and launch. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Pre-release or beta features are provided “as is” and may change, break, or be discontinued without notice.
4) Student Conduct & Acceptable Use
You agree not to:

Use the Services for harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, doxxing, or illegal activity.

Post or transmit content that is infringing, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, exploitative, or otherwise unlawful.

Cheat or facilitate academic dishonesty, including sharing exam questions/answers or materials you do not have the right to distribute.

Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

Scrape, crawl, harvest data, or attempt to reverse engineer our software.

Upload malware or attempt to bypass security or access non-public areas.
We may remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts for any breach.
5) Safety Tools (Not Emergency Services)
Campus Culture’s safety and alert features are informational only and not a replacement for emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (e.g., 111 / 911 / 112) and follow official campus instructions. We do not guarantee response times, delivery of alerts, or outcomes related to safety incidents.
6) Events, Meetups & Off-Platform Interactions
Events and meetups listed by users or groups are not vetted or endorsed by us unless explicitly stated. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others online and offline. Exercise caution and follow your university’s policies. We are not liable for user conduct or third-party activities.
7) Personalised AI Tutor & Information Disclaimers
Our AI features (e.g., study assistant) may provide automated outputs that can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. They are for educational support only and are not professional, academic, medical, legal, or safety advice. You are responsible for independently reviewing outputs and complying with your institution’s academic integrity rules.
8) User Content & Licenses

You retain ownership of content you post (“User Content”).

You grant Campus Culture a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (e.g., for formatting), publish, publicly display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Services.

You represent and warrant you have all necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe others’ rights.

We may remove or disable access to any User Content at our discretion.
9) Feedback
If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or compensation.
10) Intellectual Property
The Services, including text, code, designs, logos, trademarks, and other materials, are owned by or licensed to Campus Culture and are protected by IP laws. Except for rights expressly granted, no license is granted to you. “Campus Culture” and associated marks are trademarks of Campus Culture Limited.
11) Third-Party Services & Links
The Services may link to third-party websites, tools, or app stores. We do not control or endorse these, and we are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use is at your own risk.
12) App Store Terms (If Applicable)
If you download our mobile app:

You agree to comply with the terms of the Apple App Store and/or Google Play.

Neither Apple nor Google is responsible for maintenance or support of the app.

To the maximum extent permitted, Apple/Google have no warranty obligations or liability for claims related to the app.
13) Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you consent to such processing, including international data transfers where applicable.
14) Communications & Notifications
You consent to receive electronic communications (email, in-app) related to the Services. We may provide legal notices electronically by posting to the site or emailing the address associated with your account.
15) Fees (If Introduced Later)
If paid features are introduced, we will disclose pricing, billing cycles, and refund policies before you subscribe. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once charged.
16) Moderation & Enforcement
We may, at any time and without notice:

Remove or refuse content;

Limit or revoke feature access;

Suspend or terminate accounts;

Preserve or disclose information if required by law or to protect people, property, or our rights.
17) Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
18) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAMPUS CULTURE AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED (A) NZD $100, OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN SUCH CASES, THE ABOVE LIMITS APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED.
19) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Campus Culture and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
20) Copyright & IP Complaints
If you believe content infringes your rights, email info@campusculture.co.nz with: (1) your contact details; (2) a description of the work you claim is infringed; (3) the URL/location of the allegedly infringing material; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
21) Compliance, Export & Sanctions
You may not use the Services if you are subject to sanctions or are in a country embargoed by New Zealand or your local jurisdiction. You agree to comply with all export control laws and regulations.
22) Changes to the Services & Terms
We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting to the site and/or emailing you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
23) Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end, but Sections 8–11 and 16–27 survive.
24) Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. You and Campus Culture submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand, located in Auckland, for any dispute that is not subject to arbitration (if we later provide an arbitration option).
25) Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us.

No Waiver. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.

Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force Majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control.
